04 20 00 – Rebar

Rebar For CMU Wall - Linear

Summary: This assembly is designed for a Linear takeoff

Variables:

  • Wall Height Ft - used to calculate vertical rebar
  • Rebar Per Cell - the count of rebar in each vertical cell
  • Vertical Rebar Spacing In - the spacing between vertical cells in inches
  • Rebar Waste 1 to 100 - a percentage waste factor applied to both rebar groups
  • Rebar Per Bond Course - count of rebar in each bond course - this number will apply to ALL bond courses, top and mid wall
  • Control Joint Spacing Ft - the spacing of control joints if needed
  • Mid Wall Bond Course Count - the number of mid wall bond courses if needed
  • Top Wall Bond Course Count - the number of top bond courses if needed

Required Items:

  • Control Joint Count - A summary item using the linear takeoff total and joint spacing variable.
  • Reinforced Vertical Cell Positions - A summary item using the linear takeoff total and vertical spacing variable.

Item Groups:

These groups contain a selection of items that must be chosen if required

  • Choose Vertical Rebar Reinforcing - Rebar #3-#8 in either linear feet or pounds are available.  They are calculated using the vertical spacing, rebar per cell and waste variables.
  • Choose Bond Course Rebar - Rebar #3-#8 in either linear feet or pounds are available. They are calculated using the waste and all three bond course variables.

04 21 00 – Brick Masonry

Brick Masonry - Elevation View and Brick Masonry - Plan View

Summary: These two folders each contain assemblies for 11 types of brick. All of them are the same in essence. The differences are the type of brick determined by the assembly name and whether you are using an Area takeoff on an elevation plan or a Linear takeoff on a floor plan.

Variables:

  • Wall Height Ft - Only appears in the plan view assemblies to calculate total square footage of brick
  • Wythe Count - 
  • Flashing Roll Length Ft - 
  • Crew Production Brick Per Hour - 

Required Items:

  • Brick - Each assembly contains an item for one of the 11 brick types, except for the Commercial Brick assembly which offers two types of commercial brick in a group.
  • Mason's Sand - Calculated using the total square footage and wythe count variable.
  • Clay Brick Wall Area - A summary item reflecting the total square footage of brick.

Item Groups:

These groups contain a selection of items that must be chosen if required

  • Choose Brick - only found in the Commercial Brick assemblies.
  • Choose Mortar - Calculated using the total square footage and wythe count variable.
  • Choose Crew Configuration - total crew hours based on brick count and production variable.
  • Choose Brick Ties - Calculated using total square footage of brick.
  • Choose Flashing - Calculated using total square footage and flashing variable.
  • Choose Weep Holes - Calculated using total square footage of brick. 

Add/Deduct Brick @ Wall Openings - Count

Summary: This assembly allows you to count same size openings in a brick wall to deduct materials without using the Cut Out tool for and Area takeoff. Items yielded will be a negative quantity.

Variables:

  • Opening Width Ft - Used in place of Area or Linear takeoffs
  • Opening Height Ft - Used in place of Area takeoff
  • Crew Production Opening Per Hour - Used to calculate labor crew items

Required Items:

  • Mason's Sand -  items will be deducted based on the size of the opening
  • Clay Brick Wall Area - A summary item that will be deducted based on the size of the opening.

Item Groups:

These groups contain a selection of items that must be chosen if required

  • Choose Brick - brick items will be deducted based on opening dimensions and count
  • Choose Steel Lintel - Items will be added based on the width of the opening
  • Choose Mortar - items will be deducted based on the size of the opening
  • Choose Masonry Crew - labor will be deducted based on the size of the opening
  • Location - summary items reflecting the takeoff total count

Add For Natural Split Face Door Openings

Summary: This assembly allows you to count same size openings in a brick wall to deduct materials without using the Cut Out tool for and Area takeoff and add materials unique to the opening. Some items yielded will be a negative quantity.

Variables:

  • Opening Width Ft - Used in place of Area or Linear takeoffs
  • Opening Height Ft - Used in place of Area takeoff
  • Wall Height Ft - required for calculating vertical rebar
  • Rebar Per Cell - required for calculating vertical rebar
  • Rebar Waste 1 To 100 - a percentage waste factor
  • Production Opening Per Hour - required for calculating labor
  • Lintel Height In - required for forms and grout items
  • Lintel Width In - required for forms and grout items
  • Form Use Count - required for forms items

  • Positioner Spacing Ft - on center number for rebar positioners
  • Horiz Reinforce Waste 1 To 100 - a percentage waste factor for horizontal reinforcing
  • Control Joint Spacing Ft - on center number for control joints
  • Production Block Per Hr - required for labor crew calculation
  • Wall Width In - required for calculating bond beam and U bond grout.
  • Form Reuse Count - required if choosing form items
  • Mid Wall Bond Course Count - need to calculate items related to bond beams and U bond
