Takeoff & Estimate Project Permissions

Project Permissions control who can create, modify, and manage projects within STACK Takeoff & Estimate.

These permissions determine how users interact with projects, including creating new projects, updating project details, and removing projects when they are no longer needed.

IMPORTANT
Project access can also be controlled at the project level by setting projects to private.
Users without project permissions may still access projects if they have been granted access.
Changes to project permissions affect all projects within the account.

Key Information

  • Project Permissions apply to all projects within the account

  • Permissions can be granted or restricted using User Permissions

  • Some roles include project permissions by default, while others require them to be enabled

  • Deleting a project permanently removes all associated data

How Project Permissions Are Applied

Project Permissions are assigned through User Permissions and may be:

  • Included by default in certain roles (such as Account Owner)

  • Enabled or restricted depending on the user’s responsibilities

Some permissions depend on others:

  • The Delete projects permission requires the ability to create and edit projects.
