Estimate and Cost Permissions control how users access and manage financial data within STACK Takeoff & Estimate.
These permissions define who can create, edit, and view estimates, as well as who can access cost-related information across projects.

Estimate Permissions control the creation and management of estimates

Permissions can be granted or restricted using User Permissions
Some roles include estimate access by default
Cost data access is restricted to specific roles and cannot always be enabled
Estimate Permissions
Estimate Permissions control how users create and manage estimates within a project.
IMPORTANT
Estimates are tied to project data and takeoffs.
Deleting an estimate permanently removes the data.
Users must have access to a project to work with estimates.

How Estimate Permissions Are Applied
Estimate Permissions are assigned through User Permissions and may be:
Included by default in certain roles
Enabled or restricted depending on the user’s responsibilities
Cost Permissions
Cost Permissions control access to pricing, rates, and financial data across the platform.
IMPORTANT
Cost data may appear in estimates, reports, and takeoffs depending on permissions.
Users without cost access will not see pricing information.
Reports may include or exclude cost data based on user permissions.
