Connect STACK to Claude through STACK IQ to find project information, review takeoffs, and complete supported Takeoff and Estimate actions using natural-language prompts.
Key Information
- An active STACK subscription and a Claude account are required.
- STACK IQ is included with current STACK subscriptions. No additional STACK subscription, upgrade, or purchase is required.

Connecting STACK to Claude
- Open Claude.
- Open the account menu.
- Select Settings.
- Under Customize, select Connectors.
- Locate STACK in the list of available connectors.
- Select Connect.
- Sign in to the STACK account that will be connected to Claude, if prompted.
- Review the STACK account, company, and requested permissions displayed on the authorization page.
- Select the information and actions Claude is permitted to access.
- Select Authorize.
Once the connection is authorized, STACK is available for use in Claude conversations.

Confirm that the correct STACK account and company are displayed before authorizing the connection. Review each requested permission and grant only the access required for the intended workflows.
Using STACK in Claude
After the connection is established, start a Claude conversation and enter a prompt describing the information or action needed in STACK.
For example:
- Find the project and provide its project ID.
- List the takeoffs in the project.
- Add takeoffs named Bathroom Walls, Shower/Tub, Toilet Walls, and Toilets to the project.
- Change the four newly added takeoffs in the Woodland project to grass green.
Claude may ask for additional information when more context is needed to identify the correct project or complete the requested action.

Include the project name, the affected information, and the requested result in the prompt. Clear and specific prompts help STACK IQ identify the correct project and provide more relevant results.
Reviewing and Approving Actions
Claude may request approval before completing an action that changes information in STACK.
- Review the project and proposed action.
- Confirm that the correct project information and requested changes are displayed.
- Approve the action to apply the changes in STACK.
- Review the project in STACK to confirm that the expected changes were applied.
IMPORTANT
AI-generated responses may contain incomplete or incorrect information. Always review the project, affected information, and proposed changes before approving an action. Confirm the results in STACK after the action is complete.
Disconnecting STACK from Claude
- Open the account menu in Claude.
- Select Settings.
- Under Customize, select Connectors.
- Locate and select STACK.
- Select Disconnect.
- Confirm the disconnection.
Once disconnected, Claude can no longer retrieve information from or perform actions in the connected STACK account.
