Here are 8 recent features that help Steel & Metals work faster in STACK.

Measurement Inputs as Assembly Variables

Use each measurement's own inputs, like wall height, pitch or depth, as variables in your item formulas, so every measurement calculates with its own values.

Estimate Totals by Cost Type

See your estimate totals broken out by cost type, like Labor, Material, Equipment and Subcontract, right in the Estimate Totals panel.

Estimate Snapshots

Save a named, point-in-time copy of an estimate whenever you want a checkpoint. Snapshots are also created automatically when you change an estimate status. Open any snapshot in a read-only view and export it to Excel or CSV.

Typicals

Measure a repeating unit once, then mark everywhere it repeats. STACK multiplies the quantities for you, and labels let you break the totals out by floor, phase or category.

Persistent Plan Overlays

Overlays now save automatically, alignment included, and show up as tiles on the Overview tab. Click one to reopen the live overlay right where you left it.

New for Every Trade

These features help every STACK customer, whatever your trade.

Assembly Defaults

Set default values for an assembly's custom variables and default picks for its item groups. When you attach the assembly to a takeoff, those defaults come along, ready to use and easy to change.

Item Formulas

Give any item its own Excel-style formula using your measurement variables, right where you attach it to a takeoff. No assembly needed.

Self-Serve Item Import

Add new items or update existing ones yourself from a file, right in your library settings. STACK checks the file before anything imports, and you can revert the last import in a click.
