"Template" Projects

Devon Streckfuss

At STACK, we understand that it’s important to create projects as quickly and efficiently as possible.

You can streamline this process by creating a “Template” project, which contains information you know you’ll need referenced in projects like it in the future. Moving forward, you can create a “Copy” of the template when you need to create similar projects (Click here to learn how to copy projects in STACK).

The following are some ways that you can stage a “Template” project to save time, and ensure consistency when you create copies of it for future projects:

  • Create an “Estimate Worksheet”, then customize and apply a “View” which will cause it’s data to be displayed the same way every time
    • Click here to learn how to create “Views
    • Click here to learn how to create an “Estimate Worksheet
  • In the “Estimate Worksheet”, include requisite “Other Costs”. These are costs like “Overhead”, “Tax”, or “Profit”
    •  Click here to learn about using “Other Costs
  • Create and include any Takeoffs.
  • Set default “Project Information” for the Template project in it’s “Home” page
    • Click here to learn more about “Project Information”
