Production Homebuilder
I use STACK solely for concrete footings and foundations. We have production homebuilder customers who may have multiple variants of a Jones model. For example it could be lookout or walkout basement type, it could have a sunroom added or not, 2 or 3 car garage.
If we do 500 a year, I'm trying to avoid recreating a new project for every single job that comes our way. Does anyone else have a situation where they've used STACK to have a Jones Project and get the variants via takeoffs or assemblies?

You’re on the right track—and a lot of people in your situation handle this without creating a brand-new project every time.
The easiest way to think about it is:
Build one “base” Jones model, then layer in the differences.
Here’s what that looks like in practice:
• Start with your base model
Set up your standard Jones foundation (your typical footing + foundation takeoffs).

• Add variations as separate pieces
Instead of rebuilding the whole job, create add-ons for things like:
These can be either:
- Assemblies: https://help.stackct.com/en/articles/3834465-assemblies-overview
- Assembly Variables: https://help.stackct.com/en/articles/5708145-assembly-variables
• Only use what you need per job
For each house, you’re basically just saying:
“Use the base + add this + this” depending on the option selected.
• Copy instead of starting over
When a new job comes in, just duplicate your base project and adjust what’s different—it’s way faster than rebuilding.

• Keep naming consistent
If everything is clearly labeled (like “Jones – Walkout” or “Jones – 3 Car Garage”), it becomes really easy to mix and match.
