Project Creation

Project creation has been going really well with Stack IQ's Claude integration.

I've been having Claude separate my plans, name them and sort them into trade discipline folders for me on my computer. The Stack AI does an okay job at this but it can have some strange ideas about where sheets outside the typical discipline sets go and sometimes pulls odd sheet names. Claude has been better at this.

Then we created a skill so I just need to tell Claude what project I want created and it will go grab all the pertinent info from my invite in our email, create the project, add the info where I want it (We put GC and PM contact info in the notes section of the home tab), adds the takeoffs from my library I instructed it on and we are good.

I did send Claude a screenshot of the takeoff list I wanted added to new projects for me. Because I have some takeoffs with similar names using different measurement types that seemed to help a lot. Definitely review the skill before you save it. I had one takeoff where Claude wanted to pull the surface area takeoff rather than the area for me.

Things that I would find wildly useful to add:
- The ability for Claude to create folders under plans so I can have it mirror the folders it created when it organized my plan sheets.

- The ability to upload the plans to the Stack project. Being able to fully automate projection creation complete with folder structure and plans uploaded while I do something else would be fantastic

- Access to the company library for items and assemblies. Specifically, I was hoping to task Claude with some tedious and time consuming re-organizing of our items in our library. Sadly, Claude doesn't have access to that so I will have to do it myself…one day. If/when I have time.

- The ability to read snapshots. I was trying to figure out where the disconnect was between two revisions to a project. I wound up just downloading the snapshots myself and uploading them to claude directly for help analyzing it, but it would have been nice if Claude could have read those on its own.
