Draw straight as an arrow >>------>

In STACK Takeoff & Estimating platform, the Shift key is a powerful keyboard shortcut that enhances efficiency and precision when creating and editing takeoffs, particularly for measurements like control joints, walls, or other linear and area-based tasks.

When drawing linear takeoffs (e.g., control joints, walls, or piping), tap the Shift key to lock the cursor to a straight horizontal or vertical line (0° or 90° angles). It will activate the “Line Snap” feature

This will ensure precise, aligned measurements without unintended angles, critical for clean layouts like control joint gridlines or structural elements.

Combined with mouse movement, taping Shift before drawing linear measurements can snap lines to 45-degree increments (e.g., 0°, 45°, 90°, 135°), depending on your cursor position.
