Outside of the box - Label Groups
Posted by: STACK_Brenda
Labels are extremely helpful in defining measurements to group and filter.
Typical label examples: Building, Phase, Section…
But think of other options such as, Bid Option (Base, Alternate 1, Alternate 2). Then use this as a filter in your estimate to group by the Bid Option labels or create separate estimates.
If you have multiple estimators and want to see who is drawing what measurements, think about using a label called Estimator. Have all of the estimators listed as label options within that group. When the estimator goes to measure they select their name.
Now you can filter on the estimators name and see what measurements they have drawn.

Great ideas Brenda! Alex here from JRM, a GC in NYC. We use labels to organize our data and filter it to quickly & efficiently find the measurements we are looking for. On large projects, label groups are IMPERATIVE to stay organized.
Sharing some of our typical label groups below as a few additional examples of how else label groups can be utilized to organize your data.
