Takeoff Library

Save Time with the Takeoff Library
When you create a takeoff in STACK, you can add it to your Takeoff Library for quick use on future projects. Pre-built takeoffs make it fast and easy to jump into estimating without starting from scratch every time.
Why use pre-built takeoffs?
Instead of manually creating a new takeoff and adding items and assemblies for each project, you can simply pull a pre-built takeoff into your project and start your measurements and counts.
Pre-built takeoffs:
- Already have the measurement type assigned.
- Can include takeoff tag values, items, and assemblies.
- Save you time and help reduce errors from manual entry.
- Give you a head start on estimates since details are included upfront.
And don’t worry, you’re still in control. Once you add a pre-built takeoff to your project, you can add, edit, or remove tag values, items, and assemblies as needed.
Where to find pre-built takeoffs
In the Takeoff Library (found under the Libraries tab in the PLANS & TAKEOFFS section of your project), you’ll find:
- Company Library / Custom Libraries - Pre-built takeoffs created by you or your team. Perfect for reusing custom takeoffs tailored to your specific needs.
- STACK Samples – A collection of sample pre-built takeoffs across various trades. Great for new users or anyone wanting to see the level of detail possible when using items and assemblies.
- Pre-built Catalog Takeoffs – If you subscribe to an item and assembly catalog with associated pre-built takeoffs, you’ll see them here as well.
Pro Tip
Each time you create a new takeoff, consider adding it to your Custom Library. Over time, you’ll build your own toolkit of reusable takeoffs, making future projects even faster and more accurate.
