Export Assemblies and measured quantities
Hi, is there a way to export a simple spreadsheet showing the take-off assemblies, measured quantities, and distributed costs, without showing the underlying items and quantities/costs making up the assemblies?

So you want to export the name of your assembly without including all the various components for it? Or do you want to export just the name of the assembly?
In the case of the latter you can do a Takeoff Quantity report and turn off/on the specific columns you want (or do the Item Cost by Takeoff and simply collapse all the takeoff lists). In the case of the former, you’d need to use the estimate report, group by assembly, turn off/on the specific columns you want then collapse all the assemblies so only their assembly names are shown. Then you can go up to export and make sure you export as an excel sheet with visible data only available. That way none of the components or their individual costs or quantities will be visible, just the quantities and costs of columns you keep on and they will be the total for the assembly itself.

@Level Pro I couldn't have said it better! I also suggest working in the Estimate worksheet. Group your estimate by Takeoff and Assembly then collapse your columns or remove them. Lastly, export the data to excel.

The Assembly column name is not available in the leagacy report or the legacy estimate module. To echo Tim, you really need to look into the Estimate Worksheet. It’s extremely easy to build customized reports here and then bookmark them for later. Once you have the report in what you want, you can simply export to excel or csv.

@PeteyPablo @ProPhase Electric absolutely! and I appreciate you sharing. Company Views are very powerful and you can save an estimate view that can be used in any project.
