Same SKU for Lineal or Stick Measurement

We’ve got a 2x6x16, and sometimes I’ll want to use that same SKU for a lineal measurement (like a sill plate) or a count measurement (like a deck ledger).

I figured out today I can make an item 268PTL, and another 268PTS (lineal and stick, respectively). As long as I set the Accounting code to 268PT (the SKU in our point of sale system), it looks like I’m getting accurate counts for both types of measurements.

I just have to make sure (and haven’t gotten there yet) that whatever I dump out for import into POS has that Accounting code, not my Stack item #
