Revert Right-Click Functionality: Ergonomic and Workflow Regression in New UI
With the recent interface update, the right click function has been reassigned to a basic context menu (Zoom, Select All, etc.). This is a significant step backward in my opinion.
Assigning pan or drag functions to the right click was intuitive and balanced the physical load across the hand. By forcing all primary navigation and drawing onto the left click, you have created a major ergonomic issue. For an estimator spending several hours a day on takeoffs, this leads to pointless index finger fatigue. Also dragging a plan with the same button you draw lines is counterintuitive.
The new right click options are entirely redundant for a professional workflow:
- Zoom/Select All: I am positive 99% of computer users have a mouse scroll wheel and use standard hotkeys like Ctrl+A or Cmd+A.
- Edit Functions (Copy, Paste, Rotate, Flip): These are basic operations that any user learns hotkeys for within their first hour of using the program.
Cluttering the right click button with these useless shortcuts which were already easily accessible at the expense of fluid navigation makes the software feel less like a professional tool and more like a rookie app.
Please provide a "Legacy Mouse" toggle or revert the right click behavior to its original state so we can get back to working at full speed without the unnecessary physical strain.
