The Estimate Totals panel in Takeoff now includes a Cost Types tab, showing your totals broken down by cost type (Material, Labor, Equipment, Subcontract, and Additional) instead of only the combined total.

What to Know

• The Cost Types breakdown is available from the right-panel Estimate tab while working in a Takeoff — no separate setup or permission is required.
• Additional groups costs that are not tied to a specific cost type, such as overhead and contingencies applied at the estimate level.
• This extends the existing Estimate Totals in Takeoff feature — the original Totals tab is unchanged.

View Totals by Cost Type

1. Open a project and go to a Takeoff.
2. Open the right-panel Estimate tab.
3. Click Cost Types.
4. Click a cost type (Material, Labor, Equipment, Subcontract, or Additional) to expand its breakdown: Direct Costs, Indirect Costs, Contingencies, Overhead, Profit, Subtotal, Tax, and Selling Price.
5. Click Totals to return to the combined view.
