Choose how Items are sorted in Takeoffs and in the Estimate Worksheet. Select Alphanumeric Ascending or Alphanumeric Descending for a straightforward A–Z or Z–A list, or select Manual Sorting to keep the order you've already set up for your Takeoffs, Items, and Assemblies.

What to Know

• The sort options are in the column menu, in the same place in both Takeoffs and the Estimate Worksheet.
• Manual Sorting follows the order you've already set up for Takeoffs, Items, and Assemblies.
• The sort you choose in Takeoffs doesn't change the sort in the Estimate Worksheet, and the reverse is also true.
• The active sort option is shown in bold in the menu.
• In the Estimate Worksheet, your sort choice is saved with a Saved View.

Sort Takeoffs

1. Go to the PLANS & TAKEOFFS section of the project.
2. Select the Takeoffs tab.
3. Open the column menu on the Takeoff Name column.
4. Select Alphanumeric Ascending, Alphanumeric Descending, or Manual Sorting.

Sort Items in the Estimate Worksheet

1. Go to the ESTIMATES section of the project and open the Estimate Worksheet.
2. Open the column menu on the Item Name column.
3. Select Alphanumeric Ascending, Alphanumeric Descending, or Manual Sorting.

Save the Estimate Worksheet layout as a Saved View to keep your sort choice. See Save and Apply Views.
